Playa Mujeres lies along the southern edge of Lanzarote, within reach of Playa Blanca — a town that grew from a small fishing settlement into the island’s principal southern resort. The coastline here faces the Bocaina strait, the channel separating Lanzarote from Fuerteventura, whose low mountainous outline is often visible across the water on clear days.
