Los Cristianos

Los Cristianos sits on the southern coast of Tenerife, within the island’s main resort region alongside its better-known neighbour, Playa de las AmĂ©ricas. Originally a small fishing settlement, it has grown into a busy holiday town built around a curved bay, a working harbour, and a long seafront promenade that draws visitors for gentle walks and sea views.

The harbour remains functional as well as scenic, serving as a departure point for ferries connecting Tenerife to the neighbouring island of La Gomera, which gives the town a slightly different rhythm from purely resort-focused areas nearby. Streets close to the water still hint at the town’s older, more modest origins, even as the wider area has filled out with the hotels, restaurants, and shops typical of the south’s tourism belt.

As part of southern Tenerife, Los Cristianos benefits from the region’s characteristically dry, sunny climate, making it a year-round base for those wanting easy access to the coast without straying too far from transport links or the amenities of the larger Costa Adeje and Playa de las AmĂ©ricas strip.
