Majona

Majona lies in a remote corner of La Gomera, within the region’s rugged eastern-to-southern coastal massif, where the terrain rises sharply from the sea into steep ravines and forested slopes. The area is defined almost entirely by Majona Natural Park, a protected zone of wild, sparsely inhabited land that has seen little modern development, leaving its natural character largely intact.

Access is limited and paths are often demanding, reflecting the isolation that has helped preserve this part of the island. The park’s mix of cliffs, gullies and native vegetation makes Majona a place valued more for its untouched landscape and quiet than for any built attractions.
