Agulo

Agulo
Agulo sits on the north coast of La Gomera, occupying a small natural terrace beneath steep cliffs that rise sharply behind it. The town’s compact core of whitewashed houses, narrow lanes and small squares gives it the character of one of the island’s most traditional settlements, with terraced fields of vines and fruit trees stepping down towards the shore.
From its shoreline position, Agulo looks directly out across the water towards Mount Teide on neighbouring Tenerife, a view that has long been one of the town’s defining features. The surrounding landscape of ravines and volcanic rock, typical of La Gomera’s north, isolates the settlement somewhat from the rest of the island, lending it a quiet, self-contained feel.
As yet no individual sights are catalogued for Agulo, but the town itself, with its layered architecture and dramatic coastal setting, remains a notable point of interest within the North region of La Gomera.
