Caldera de Tirajana

Caldera de Tirajana is one of the great volcanic depressions of Gran Canaria’s mountainous interior, a vast eroded crater whose steep walls and terraced slopes dominate the southern uplands of the island. The scale of the landscape, with its ridges, ravines and shifting light, gives the area a dramatic, almost amphitheatre-like character that has long shaped the routes and settlements found within it.
