Playa del Inglés

Playa del Inglés is one of the principal resort areas on the southern coast of Gran Canaria, built up around the long stretch of sand that shares its name. The Playa del Inglés Beach forms the heart of the district, a broad expanse of open coastline that draws visitors for sunbathing and swimming, with the built-up resort spreading inland behind it in a grid of hotels, apartments and commercial streets.

As one of the island’s established holiday centres, the area functions largely around the beach itself, with Playa del Inglés Beach acting as both the main attraction and the organising feature of daily life here, its promenade and shoreline linking the resort to the neighbouring dunes and coastal settlements further along the south.
