Alojera

Alojera is a small coastal village on the north-western side of La Gomera, tucked into one of the island’s steep, terraced valleys that run down to the sea. Like much of this stretch of coastline, it feels remote and quiet, shaped by the dramatic volcanic terrain typical of the Canary Islands’ rural interior meeting the Atlantic.

The village itself is the main point of interest, offering a glimpse of traditional Gomeran life away from the island’s more developed southern resorts. Its setting, at the base of a valley opening onto the coast, gives a sense of the isolation that has long defined settlements on this side of La Gomera.
