Mirador Morro Velosa
Mirador Morro Velosa is a panoramic viewpoint in Fuerteventura’s central highlands, designed by César Manrique. It overlooks volcanic ridges, inland valleys and the dry terrain surrounding Betancuria, offering one of the island’s most expansive inland views.
Mirador Morro Velosa stands on one of the high ridges above Betancuria, offering wide views across Fuerteventura’s central highlands. Designed by César Manrique, the viewpoint combines architectural elements with the island’s volcanic landscape, creating a distinctive inland landmark.

The surrounding terrain consists of dry valleys, terraced slopes and volcanic ridges shaped by erosion. From the viewpoint, visitors can see large sections of the island’s interior, including the Betancuria massif and the open highland plains stretching toward the east.
The building features Manrique’s characteristic style, with curved forms and natural materials that blend into the landscape. Its position on the ridge makes it one of the most accessible and visually striking viewpoints in the region.

Mirador Morro Velosa forms part of the inland route connecting Betancuria, Vega de Río Palmas and the western highlands. Its combination of architecture, geography and panoramic views makes it one of Fuerteventura’s most notable inland attractions.
