Esquinzo Beach
Esquinzo Beach is a wide, pale-sand shoreline on Fuerteventura’s southern coast, known for its open Atlantic views, dry terrain and reliable beach conditions. Its position between Morro Jable and the Jandía highlands gives it a distinctive southern character.
Esquinzo Beach lies on the southern side of the Jandía peninsula, a broad shoreline shaped by pale sand, open horizons and the dry volcanic terrain typical of the region. The beach stretches between Morro Jable and the highland slopes rising toward Pico de la Zarza, giving it a clear southern Fuerteventura identity.
The shoreline consists of soft sand and gentle inclines leading to clear Atlantic water. The beach’s orientation exposes it to steady coastal winds, creating shifting sand patterns and a dynamic shoreline compared to the more sheltered areas further east.

The surrounding terrain includes dry slopes, scattered vegetation and the open coastal plain that defines much of southern Fuerteventura. The area’s scale and light make it a popular spot for walking, swimming and long coastal views.
Esquinzo Beach forms part of the wider southern coastal zone, connecting with Playa del Matorral to the east and the rugged highlands of the Jandía Natural Park inland. Its combination of pale sand, open space and southern atmosphere makes it one of the region’s most characteristic beaches.
